Use this skill when the user asks to run the migrated source command specific-traits.

Command Template

CryptoGlossario — Specific Traits

This command owns all is* boolean fields. Do not touch any other field. Pipeline, ownership and versioning rules live in lib/skill-registry.ts.

Fields

FieldLabelTrigger
isAcronymAcronimoFormed from initials or initial syllables, regardless of pronunciation: NFT, KYC, EVM, DeFi, DAO, FOMO. Includes both classic acronyms (pronounced as a word) and initialisms (spelled letter by letter), plus syllabic forms like DeFi (De-centralized Fi-nance).
isSlangSlangCommunity jargon, informal register: HODL, rekt, ape in
isEponymEponimoDerives from a proper name: Ponzi, Merkle tree, Satoshi
isCompoundCompostoWords juxtaposed intact: blockchain, stablecoin, hashrate
isPortmanteauParola-valigiaWords fused/blended: tokenomics, altcoin, metaverse
isClippingAccorciamentoShortened form of a longer word, without initial-letter formation or blending: app ← application, repo ← repository, degen ← degenerate.
isNeologismNeologismoCoined in/by crypto, did not exist before: staking, memecoin
isMetaphorMetaforaTransferred meaning from another domain: mining, whale, gas
isTechnicalTecnicoRequires CS/crypto background to grasp: Merkle tree, sharding
isDeprecatedDesuetoActively falling out of use: dApp, ICO

Mutual exclusion: isCompound ↔ isPortmanteau.

Acronym vs portmanteau: if the term abbreviates a longer formula (initials or initial syllables of the source words → DeFi, DAO, GameFi), use isAcronym. If it fuses two complete words to coin a new concept (tokenomics ← token+economics, altcoin ← alternative+coin), use isPortmanteau. The two are not mutually exclusive in the schema, but in practice a term is one or the other — pick the dominant formation.

Clipping vs acronym/portmanteau: use isClipping when one word is shortened linearly, not built from initials and not blended with another word. App, repo, degen are clippings; DAO is an acronym; tokenomics is a portmanteau.

Batch strategy

  • Batch size: 30–50 terms
  • Group by domain or lexical pattern
  • Skip hard cases into a second pass; do not block the batch
  • Set every trait explicitly to true or false; omitted traits keep the term outdated
  • For new terms, these booleans must be populated before publishing. Use this

apply script unless a dedicated one-shot creation flow explicitly validates and writes the same fields.
